Happy Holidays

Been so busy learning the Silhouette software I haven't  been blogging.  Anyway this is one of my Christmas cards that I made.  I actually made this with my E2.  This was before I got my Cameo.  I love all my machines.  Would not give anyone of them up.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and on the getting ready to celebrate the New Year.

Snowflakes for the Children

Is everyone ready for Christmas.  I have been busy making and sending my cards and working on Christmas  projects.  Yesterday I had my little neighbors over and they made all their cards and little gifts.

We had a call from our local Craft store to make Snowflakes for the Children in Newtown CT.  I made a bunch of Pink and Blue Glitter snowflakes and one which I am showing here .

My Christmas Projects

Besides all the cards that I am making for Christmas I am in the process of learning the Cameo and having fun with that too. I thought I would post some of my cards and things I have been making this week. I will start with the Cup Cake stand that I bought and then decorated. I used the Cameo to cover the trays. I measure each tray then made a circle with the Cameo. Then I used the knife tool and cut it in half and then in quarters. As I got to the bigger trays it worked out perfect once I measured all I needed was one quarter and made 4 pieces to fit that circle. Hope I am not confusing you but I was so excited how easy it was once I figured out what I was doing. Hehe.

I will be back tomorrow with more Christmas goodies.

Designer's Challenge ~ Host "Miss Ruthie"

So for our challenge today we had to make a tag and use a stamp from www.creativetimeforme.com

Well I think I filled the bill.

First I made the earrings with Shrinky Dinks.  For me it is easier putting them in the oven to shrink
than using the Blower.
I cut them out on the Cricut with the Frosted Shrinky Dink and then colored them and then baked them at 325 until done.  About  two minutes.  Just watch them curl and then flatten out and they are done.

For my TAG is used:
Creative Time Dies
Just Tags
Sentiment CTFM: From Our Family to Yours
Ornament: CTFM: Warm Holiday Fun
Oval Die
Sure was a lot of stuff on that TAG  and all comes for Emma's great products.

Trick or Treat

Yesterday I got my Trick or Treat package off to my grandchildren who live back east. Here are a few of the things in the bag These cute mini cards and envelopes are from www.creativetimeforme.com. Of course I put some green stuff in there too. That is what the kids really enjoy getting. But I enjoy making the project to put it in so we are all happy.

Hello

Good afternoon crafters. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Today Madisun my guest this week wanted to make a new cover for her iPhone. We went to find the clear covers but with no luck.  They only had color.  I got the purple and she got the black.

So for my cover I made this cute Teddy from  Teddy Bears on Parade.  Now my iPhone and iPad match.

Trick Or Treat

Ok Debbie with Bugjuiced  was right,  it is lot of work but sure worth it.  She found this card in the Cardmaker Magazine.  Debbie was a Guest Designer on Creative Time For Me and  posted a Tip of the day!
I always like a Challenge so I took her pattern and tried to make sense of it.  Took a while and a few tries but I think I got it.
It is all in the measuring.  I cut 2 of the pattern above in black and then I cut 2 in the designer paper and cut those to fit in the panels.  When cutting the designer paper cut them back to back so the design is on the right side.

Enjoy and keep crafting.

Recycle It!

Today there is a challenge over at CTFM with Emma.  This was the perfect challenge for me because I was going to make a center piece for my party this Saturday.  I had the core from the Foil Roll from Costco saved and that is what I am using for this challenge

The flowers and the leaves are cut from the AP cartridge from Close To My Heart.
The stems are wood skewers wrapped with green flower tape.
It really came out awesome.  It stands about 28" tall so it is very impressive.  This will work perfect on my table for the party.

Clementine Paper Quilt Wall Hanger

Ready for some fun? We Start At Midnight.

Each month on the 1st we will have a team bog hop featuring a different paper pack each month.  Be creative and have fun.  For September we are using Clementine Paper Pack.

For my project I made a paper quilt.  Cutting different sizes from the Clementine papers I made this Home Decor Wall Hanger. This is a 12x12 sheet scored 1/2" all around and then I laid all the pieces with in the margins.  Added grommets and tulle so I can hang it.  Enjoy and keep crafting.

Curves

So about two months ago I joined Curves.

Thought it was time for me to start the motor going and keep my joints moving.  So far so good.  I go three times a week most of the time.  I like it because it is a no brainier.  Get on the machines and go around twice and you are done.  A little stretching after and out the door.  Loosing inches and body fat so I am happy.

When I cam home today I had my new report and I said, OK I should save this so I can see my progress.  Where to keep it?
Ah! says the crafter,  I will make a folder, it will be fun and a nice thing to save it in.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Peachy Keen stamp for the face. Used the Bind It All and now I have a folder for all my information and progress.

Enjoy and keep Crafting...

Birthday Wishes

Today is a happy day, I got my Air Condition fixed in my Craft Studio. AHH it feels so good.  Now
I can craft in comfort.  The month of September is a busy month for me with birthdays.  Friends, family and even Me.  I get to get another one this year.  How exciting.  Actually I just came back from Atlantic City where I met with my boys and there wives and old friends.  We had a fantastic time.  A little early on the celebration but it was when we all could meet.

Well today I made two cards for friends.  One is stamped with CTFM floral stamp and then I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  Very important when using his markers to use Watercolor Paper.  It make a big difference.  The right tools for the right job.  The second one is also from CTFM die cut.

Well off the write my birthday wishes.  Enjoy and keep crafting.

The Love Book

To start this project I used my Instant Oatmeal box and cut the top and bottom leaving the flaps which make the spine of the book.  Over lap the flaps.
Then I covered the front and back and the inside spine I covered with a separate piece.  It closes better that way.
The front and back panel measure 7.5x4.5 and the spine measures 2"
I cut the pages 4x6 gluing two together and leaving the top open to add a tag.
Using the Bind It All to join the pages to the cover. I use twelve holes the length of the page to make is secure while turning the pages. Then just have fun decorating it.  I will do a video on the next one.  I will post when I have it done on Face Book.
